How can I make KLON to listen to MIDI input notes?

Hi,
 
i installed the demo and find it promising. However, the function, which I find most interresting is the MIDI input. I have KLON running under Logic as an Audio Instrument. It receives the voice from an Audio Track through side chain. I would assume, the MIDI played live OR MIDI on the KLON track itself would start to modify the KLON output, however, it doesn't. WHat am I doing wrong? Or is this function disabled from the Demo?

Hi Armin. I don't know if MIDI is disabled in the demo (I very much doubt it though). Also, I don't know Logic so I can only help as a Cubase user (but I expect someone else will be able to offer more specific help).
 
In Cubase, Klon shows up as a MIDI destination so it's simply a case of creating a MIDI track and choosing Klon as the destination for that track. Then, when that track is played, the output goes straight to Klon and, as long as sound is also being applied, creates the desired effect.

yep, same here: Klon is a midi controlled AU within Logic. Still I can't get it tp respond to MIDI input. Thanx anyway!

Hi Armin,
 
have you selected "MIDI note" or "MIDI note transpose" ? Otherwise KLON doesn't respond to MIDI.

Yep, did that. I also expected that the little keyboard would show live midi notes or the notes it received from the midi track. But nothing ... Just to make this clear: Klon works, except that it does not read any midi data ...

Hi Armin,
 
just tried it in Logic to give you a stepwise advice...
...but there seems to be a problem i have to look into it.
Maybe i'm just thinking wrong, we'll look into it with a fresh brain.
 
Stay tuned for new info soon.

Hi,
 
i have the same problem with a recently downloaded demo version.
Logic 9, Midi note is on, plug in an audio track, tried different midi channels, put the plug in a bus,
connected it with a cable in the environment, no function.
What to do?

Hi Beo,
 
to make it to work you have to insert the plugin in an Instrument track.
Here are the steps:
 
1. create an audio track with the voice signal.
2. create an instrument track for the midi data.
3. Insert KLON in the instrument track from the menu "AU MIDI-controlled effects"
4. Select your audio track as side chain in KLON.
 
Now everything should work as expected.
